An industrial but artistic screen printing in Alsace gold triangle.
Everything is related to everybody and everyone. I think this is not what I said now, but in France it is very much. Without recommending, the Nouveau venu (from Foggy Eastern Europe) is not really considered to be a renowned printing service or bookbinding workshop. They are kept in closed lines like the Old guild times. But if you have confidence, you may only have to press the key of your printer. You are free to act and make… Receive.
I think if I do not attend the La Fête du Graphisme 2015 festival in January of this year and I do not beg myself to go to the “Studio visit” list, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to walk through Paris ‘ coolest design studios and ask them the simple question “you Work? “. A real picture of the situation of French contemporary design. So I got to HELMO at Thomas Couderc and Clément Vauchez in their studio in Montreuil in north-eastern Paris, where I irrevocably felt after the first meeting-“Yes they are” I want to work with them. ”
No but why? Because of their dedication to typography and profession. Simple, letter-centric and manual, pre-computer age (pre-computer and design programs) design style highlights them in French, but perhaps in Western European design at the forefront. Almost all of their work is done by a sieve process, whether it’s hundreds of pages of Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, or a brilliantly folded invitation to the Palais de Tokyo. And… Who suddenly smileth… And you’d think and want to make the screen printing dead – it’s a snap to HELMO and its exalted screen printing studio is the Laserard Graphique. Where I might never have been to come and do not work with them if I do not recommend the HELMO guys.
For nearly twenty years by Jean-Yves Grandidier and Jean-Marc Burtscher, their sieve printing plant is now the mecca of the profession. Their technical equipment (Thieme, Grüit’s presses, encres Dubuit paints) is a vehicle of the French-German-Swiss-called Golden Triangle. It’s no surprise that the award-winning works of the Une Saison Graphique 15 Le Havre Poster Festival, such as the Antoine + Manuel duo’s large-scale, up to 10-20 colour posters have been being made for years. Or the poetry of Fanette Mellier’s poster, which is mostly made with 20-30 spot colors and extra layers of varnish. It was the most recently visited by the general public at Les Arts Décoratifs, Recto Verso. And at the beginning of the summer, Slanted magazine was presented with a one-day design conference at the Chacun á sa façon – Graphic Design in Paris in Karlsruhe.
In the impact of the seen and positive experiences, I am currently working to present the Recto Verso exhibition in Budapest in the near future, and as many Hungarian creators as possible draw attention to the creative Opportunities.
